The Domestic Violence Program of North Central Oklahoma (DVPNCO), located in Ponca City, has been helping to combat domestic violence and sexual assault for over 20 years. The most recent data places Oklahoma sixth in the nation for domestic violence related deaths per capita. Nation-wide statistics estimate that one in four women will be victims of domestic violence and sexual assault at least once in their lives. Rural women are at an increased risk and Native American women experience intimate partner violence at double the normal rate. The staff and volunteers of DVPNCO are working hard to end this plague and ensure safety for all families through prevention, education, treatment, and support.
This has helped me a lot in valuing myself as a person. After leaving DVPNCO, I'm more confident. I feel empowered living day by day and I'm finally raising daughter in a loving home.K.B.

The staff were honest and so kind with me and my children. I thank all of them for their support. I will always take with me the good things I learned. I will continue to be strong. Thank you!D.F.
While being here I was able to learn that this cycle can be broken and there is hope. My housing situation was of the utmost importance to me and DVPNCO saw to it that I would not be on the street. This place is a gift to DV survivors.R.H.
